This concert features works that incorporate vivid examples of musical imagery.  From water fountains, to shimmering trees, to black holes, to never-ending staircases and cotton mill machinery, the listener hears the range of interesting sounds the piano can create.  Significant works in this concert are be Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” and Ravel’s “Gaspard de la Nuit”.
